CULTURE AND HISTORY 2B: STADIUM NEGARA PRECEDENT STUDY REPORT

For this assignment, we were given a list of historical buildings in Klang Valley. The task was to produce a report on the building which includes the architectural styles, elements and building construction. It was a group assignment so after some discussions, we decided to pick Stadium Negara as our topic building.

For my part, I researched on the building history and building construction of Stadium Negara which includes a case study on Astrodome in Houston.

Stadium Negara Precedent Studies Report

Reflection:
It was my first time visiting Stadium Negara and also the first time my browser is flooded with websites on Stadium Negara. Although this stadium is the first indoor stadium in our country, it wasn't as documented as other historical buildings in that region. Multiple times, Stadium Merdeka actually popped up instead of Stadium Negara which is disappointing and frustrating. Additionally, the stadium also doesn't seem to be celebrated as one of our national buildings as it is a bit deserted during our visit.
