For this project we were given a site in Cape Rachado for an observation deck. It is a warm-up assignment to introduce us to the relationship between the user and context in architectural design.
As a start, we went on a 2D1N trip to Cape Rachado. I was assigned to site A which required a hike up to the lighthouse and then a downhill to the beach on the other side. During the visit, we managed to collect sufficient data for our site analysis.
Upon the completion of the site analysis, in groups of 2, we picked a more specific site for our observation deck. Sooksan and I picked the slopy site where the sound of waves can be heard. Our idea was to create an observation deck that doubles as a musical instrument.
