BUILDING SCIENCE 1A: MODIFYING 19, VILLA SRI UKAY

The Building science module focuses on thermal comfort and passive design strategies to improve the comfort level within a building envelope. Our only project for this module aims on helping us understand thermal comfort and factors regarding thermal comfort.

In a group of six, we picked a building that would showcase the basic building design for thermal comfort. We had to record and analyze the existing condition in terms of thermal comfort of the interior directly affected by the basic building design, then document the environmental factors that it faces, as well as come up with a proposal to propose the use of passive building design strategies on said building.
