DESIGN STUDIO 5A: SITE ANALYSIS

This semester, we were given Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman as our site for an infill community library.
Before we start the design process, we looked into the urban elements of the site, including Lynch's 5 elements.

After analysing the site and its relationship with its neigbouring areas historically, culturally and socially, we chose transition as the best word to represent the site.

At the end of the assignment, I have deeper understanding on the urban elements in a city as it is a new field of knowledge for me. It is an interesting site analysis activity as it is much different than what we did before.
